The very people behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie in 1992 thought that the time has come to revamp the Buffy magic. It can be compared to the new Star Trek’s re-casted success movie, however the signs are apparently pointing straight at Twilight. This is simply because people begin to really like watching the immortal in the big screen and has been rising up over the past couple of years. It’s quite a different view from before that vampires have always been a horror image in the movie world. This is why, the producers and the original movie director Fran Rubel Kuzui plan of putting up a new representation for Buffy. This new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie is totally different from the original movie. It is not a prequel or maybe a sequel for that matter, and not even related to the Buffy television series.
The all-time Buffy, Sarah Michelle Gellar has made it clear that she will not be coming back to the movie franchise. However the person who will be playing the new Buffy is still unidentified. One of the reasons that the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie is going to be different is that it cannot be compared with Star Trek in 2009. The new Buffy movie will not just recast but to also recreate an image. And so, the characters in the well-known Buffy TV series are going to be absent. Will they consider a romance between Buffy the mortal and Angel the vampire to make it more appealing to the millions of teen fans of Twilight and The Vampire Diaries? The new movie actually means no Xander, Giles, Willow, or the Scooby Gang. It even has no Joss Whedon. Whedon was asked to take part in the movie but he said no. in that case, what remains to be of Buffy? We have high hopes that they find the best one to play a cheerleader who is humorous and has the ability to eliminate the undead.
